Version Update
Every three months, new versions of the Join RH system are launched with improvements, new functionalities and corrections of any errors found. Every time a new version is launched, an email is sent with the information about the new version and the instructions for applying the update.
In order to update the three parts of the system (database, Administrative application and Managerial application), follow the instructions for the topics below. All files needed for the update are available in the Join RH support system.

Database update
In order to update the database, preparing it for the new version of the applications, follow the procedure below:
- Access http://www.joinrh.com.br/ and log in to the support area;
- In Downloads, enter the section Configuration Files and download the corresponding configuration file. This file has the same password that you used to log in to the support area;
- Open the downloaded file and copy JoinRH.crypt to the shared folder where the Join RH’s Administrative application is located;
- In the support area, locate the section Scripts Update. Download the file corresponding to the released version. The file must have the name JoinRH_Script_<version>.exe. Save this file on the same folder where the JoinRH.crypt file was saved;
- Run JoinRH_Script_<version>.exe. A window with the update status will be displayed. When the update concludes, click in Finish;
- Exclude the file JoinRH_Script_<version>.exe from the shared folder.
Administrative application update
- Access http://www.joinrh.com.br/ and log in to the support area;
- In Downloads, get the latest version of the Administrative application;
- After downloading the latest version, run the file and indicate the path of the shared folder where the Administrative application is currently installed.
Managerial application update
- Access http://www.joinrh.com.br/ and log in to the support area
- In Downloads, get the latest version of the Managerial application. The password to download this file must be solicited to the Join RH support team;
- In Downloads, enter the section Arquivo de Configuração and download the corresponding configuration file. This file has the same password that you used to log in to the support area.
The procedure must be performed in a workstation with the Windows OS and JDK 6.0 installed. If the web server also has Windows, the procedure can be performed on it.
- On the folder where the downloads have been saved, decompress the configuration file (.zip format) and run the file JoinRHWeb_<version>.exe. Indicate the same folder where the configuration file decompressed is located. The files config.jar, config.jrh.xml, joinrhweb.war and joinquestion.war must be on the same folder.
- Run config.jar and wait the confirmation
- Open the GlassFish’s administration console (http://server:4848/) and log in with the admin user and its password;
- On the tree, click in Applications;
- On the applications grid, mark the items joinrhweb and joinquestion, then click on Undeploy. When the page updates, those will not be available anymore;
- Now click on Deploy. On the field Packaged File to Be Uploaded to the Server, point to the full path of the joinrhweb.war file. Don’t change the additional fields and confirm the operation;
- Click on the Deploy again. On the field Packaged File to Be Uploaded to the Server, point to the full path of the joinquestion.war file. Don’t change the additional fields and confirm the operation;
